Jonathan specializes in transportation, logistics, warehousing, import compliance, export controls and economic sanctions, and related supply chain management issues. He leads transactional and regulatory matters for manufacturers, distributors, retailers, third party logistics providers, brokers, forwarders, intermediaries, and carriers of all modes.
He was Senior Corporate Counsel for a global transportation and logistics provider with operations in North America, Western Europe, and Asia Pacific before entering private practice. There he was an officer of the international logistics subsidiaries performing freight forwarding, NVOCC, indirect air carrier, and customs brokerage operations. He was also instrumental in day-to-day business operations of the company's Transport Topics Top-20 motor carriers.
Jon often serves as an industry representative and advisor under executive appointment. The U.S. Transportation Secretary appointed him to serve on a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) advisory committee. The TSA Administrator appointed him to the Surface Transportation Security Advisory Committee. The U.S. Commerce Secretary has appointed him to a District Export Council. The Ohio Governor appointed him to the Executive Order of the Ohio Commodores. He is also a voting member of the American Trucking Association's Supply Chain Security Policy Committee and the Air Forwarders Association's Regulatory Compliance Committee.
