Benesch’s Labor Group Continues to Grow

January 10, 2019

As Benesch continues to add to its roster of top-notch legal talent, the firm is pleased to announce that Corey Clay has joined the firm.

Corey joins the firm as Of Counsel and represents and counsels employers in a broad range of employment and labor relations matters. His litigation experience ranges from single plaintiff discrimination cases to large class actions brought under state and federal law, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Labor Management Relations Act (LMRA), and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). He has also represented employers in collective bargaining negotiations and grievance arbitrations.

“We are very excited to have Corey join us in Cleveland,” said Eric Baisden, Co-Chair of the Labor & Employment Practice Group at Benesch. “We are committed to bringing in top talent that will have an immediate positive impact for our clients, and the addition of Corey certainly adds to the tremendous bench strength we have already cultivated.”

Prior to joining Benesch, Corey was a labor associate at an AmLaw Top 10 law firm and also spent time as in-house counsel at a global manufacturer of specialized polymer materials and plastic resin distributor.

Corey received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2010 and his B.S., in Mathematics and Computer Science with a minor in Political Science, summa cum laude, from Baldwin-Wallace College in 2007.
