Thomas not only advises his clients regarding the actual transportation of merchandise, he also assists his clients with customs, importing, exporting and trade compliance, including payment of duties; entry of merchandise; specialized entry of prohibited merchandise; valuation; bonds; foreign trade zones; record keeping; classification; ITAR; trade agreements; fines, penalties, forfeitures, and seizures; as well as dealing with requests for information and samples from Customs and Border Protection.
Thomas represents his clients in federal and state courts all over the U.S., including in the Court of International Trade in New York. In addition, Thomas represents clients in front of administrative bodies including Customs and Border Protection, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and other federal and state agencies governing transportation and trade.
